A SALUTE OUR FALLEN HEROES
TRIBUTE CEREMONIES & HEROES MEMORIAL GARDEN
Memorial Day's origin lies in Decoration Day, an annual observance that begun just after the Civil War. Its name was literal, referring to the decorations of flowers left on soldiers' graves that day to commemorate their service & honor their lives. For those who have lost a loved one in the military, it is a day to reflect & remember, a day when grief & love for our country go hand in hand, a day when we pause to appreciate their sacrifice & honor the lives we will never forget.

Each flag placed in our Heroes Memorial Garden represents the sacrifice made by a brave individual who gave their lives in their act of service. During the 21-Mile Salute Tribute Weekend, this majestic garden of flags flown proudly along N. Main Ave. (HWY. 71) in front of the Arkansas Air & Military Museum, create a powerful & breathtaking tribute to these fallen heroes.
